Bar Soap - Shave

Shave - Our shave bar is designed to provide extra glide for razors. To accomplish this, we use bentonite clay, marshmallow root powder, and organic mallow tea made from wild harvested common mallow. All of these ingredients help to create a bar that improves shaving by reducing nicks and cuts. We scent this bar with essential oils of peppermint and clove to provide a refreshing unisex scent. 

We handmake our soaps in small batches using our own carefully formulated recipes. Each oil has it's own fatty acid profile, which affects the properties of a soap bar. For this reason, we choose to use a mixture of olive, coconut and castor oils in our recipes. Olive oil ensures our bars are gentle and nourishing to the skin. Coconut oil is used to make the bars hard and long-lasting, and castor oil provides a lovely thick lather. Our soap bars are made using the cold process method, which allows the pH to drop as the bars age, which makes them gentle on the skin. We cure our soap bars for at least 4-6 weeks as well, which allows them to harden for high performance. Cold process soap making also results in bars that retain their natural glycerin - an important humectant and skin moisturizer.
