FAQ

WHERE IS TWO ACRE FARM?

We make all of our products in our workshop in Collingwood ON, on the shores of Georgian Bay. We really do have a two acre property that we use to grow our own fruits, vegetables, herbs and native wildflowers.  We share our land with a large community garden, as well.

DO YOU OFFER INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING?

We currently ship to Canada and the USA using Canada Post.  We charge a $15 flat rate for delivery within Ontario and Quebec.  We charge a $22 flat rate for delivery to the rest of Canada.  Shipments to the USA will be calculated according to the weight of the purchase.  You should be able to see an estimated shipping cost (in USD or CAD) in the shopping cart when you add items. We offer free shipping to both Canada and the US on purchases of more than $100 CAD.

I LIVE NEARBY, CAN I PICK UP MY PURCHASE IN PERSON?

Absolutely! We love meeting our customers. We usually don't wander far, and are available most days for pick up. Send us a message letting us know when you'd like to drop by.

HOW DOES TWO ACRE FARM HANDLE PACKAGING MATERIALS?

We make an effort to reduce the amount of packaging we use and we are committed to shipping plastic free, with the exception of the odd piece of plastic tape stuck to a reused box.

CAN I GET A REFUND OR REPLACEMENT?

As the products we sell are perishable in nature and cannot be resold, we do not accept returns.  Please feel free to contact us with any issues you may have with your order. We will, of course, provide replacements for items damaged in transport.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SHIP MY ORDER?

At Two Acre Farm, we work hard to process your order as quickly as possible! Everything here is made by us and it may take up to 4 weeks to fulfill your order (if a new batch of soap needs to be made for large orders). You can generally expect it to take 3-5 days during normal times, and you will receive an email order notification with a tracking number to track your shipment once it has been shipped. Shipping takes 2-10 business days depending on how far away you are from our lovely little farm.

MY PACKAGE NEVER ARRIVED, WHAT CAN I DO?

Please allow adequate time for shipping.  Tracking numbers will be provided with all shipments.  We will replace orders that haven't arrived in a reasonable timeframe. Please contact us if you need any help with your order.

HOW DO I USE THE HOUSEHOLD SOAP?

Our household soap can be used for dishes or laundry stains.  For stains, rub the soap directly onto the dampened stained cloth.  Work the soap into the stain, and let sit a few minutes before rinsing.  For dishes, using a brush is the best method for using a bar soap. Rub a dampened brush over the soap bar, and brush your dishes, then rinse well.  No need to fill your sink with water - just brush and rinse!

HOW DO I GET THE MOST LIFE OUT OF MY HOUSEHOLD SOAP BAR?

As with all bar soaps, the household soap will last the longest if it is allowed to dry between uses, and isn't left sitting in a puddle of water. Small leftover pieces of household soap can be adhered to the top of your next bar, by pressing them on while damp.  Don't let little pieces go to waste!

HOW DO I WASH THE ECO SPONGE?

Our eco sponges can be washed with your laundry in a washing machine, and can be dried in a clothes dryer.  They can also be washed in a dishwasher, if desired.  Sponges are usually sold in packages of two, so that you will have a clean one to use, while the other is in the wash.

HOW DO I WASH THE BEESWAX WRAPS?

Beeswax wraps can be rinsed with cool water and a mild detergent, if required.  They should never be used to wrap meat, as they can't be washed at high temperatures.

WHERE DOES THE BURLAP FOR THE ECO SPONGES COME FROM?

We source our burlap sacks from local coffee roasters.  Eco sponges are always made using this recycled fabric that is perfect for scrubbing dishes and counters.
