Bar Soap - Rosemary Mint

Rosemary Mint – Our rosemary mint bar has a classic scent and is one our most popular soaps. This bar contains powdered rosemary and peppermint harvested from our garden. The addition of these herbs provides a speckled appearance and a fresh scent. Rosemary hydrates the skin and helps control oil production.  Peppermint is used to soothe irritation and itchiness on the skin.  

We handmake our soaps in small batches using our own carefully formulated recipes. Each oil has it's own fatty acid profile, which affects the properties of a soap bar. For this reason, we choose to use a mixture of olive, coconut and castor oils in our recipes. Olive oil ensures our bars are gentle and nourishing to the skin. Coconut oil is used to make the bars hard and long-lasting, and castor oil provides a lovely thick lather. Our soap bars are made using the cold process method, which allows the pH to drop as the bars age, which makes them gentle on the skin. We cure our soap bars for at least 4-6 weeks as well, which allows them to harden for high performance. Cold process soap making also results in bars that retain their natural glycerin - an important humectant and skin moisturizer.
