Bar Soap - Oatmeal Honey

Oatmeal Honey – Our oatmeal honey bars are made with finely ground oatmeal flour and local honey.  Oatmeal helps gently absorb oil and also helps prevent dry skin, while honey clarifies and moisturizes. These bars have a warm citrus scent and are appropriate for all skin types and ages. 

We handmake our soaps in small batches using our own carefully formulated recipes. Each oil has it's own fatty acid profile, which affects the properties of a soap bar. For this reason, we choose to use a mixture of olive, coconut and castor oils in our recipes. Olive oil ensures our bars are gentle and nourishing to the skin. Coconut oil is used to make the bars hard and long-lasting, and castor oil provides a lovely thick lather. Our soap bars are made using the cold process method, which allows the pH to drop as the bars age, which makes them gentle on the skin. We cure our soap bars for at least 4-6 weeks as well, which allows them to harden for high performance. Cold process soap making also results in bars that retain their natural glycerin - an important humectant and skin moisturizer.
